Waterway Blvd Multi-use Path Elevation

The Waterway Boulevard Multi-Use Path Elevation Project is a strategic infrastructure investment that enhances both mobility and flood protection along a critical corridor on Isle of Palms. Designed to function as a dual-purpose asset, the elevated path not only improves safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists, but also serves as a flood barrier that helps reduce the impacts of tidal flooding on surrounding areas.

By raising the pathway to a more resilient elevation, the project supports reliable, year-round use while contributing to the City’s broader efforts to mitigate flooding and strengthen coastal resilience.
