July 14, 2026 – Significant progress has been made. Pathway paving is complete from 21st to 29th Avenues. Demolition of the original path is complete from 29th Ave to Timber Ln, and the original path remains from Timber Ln to 41st Ave.
Good news for walkers and cyclists: The majority of the pathway will remain open throughout the paving process. The compacted gravel will serve as a temporary surface until final paving is complete.
Construction activity will continue to progress over the coming weeks:
- Utility relocations are expected to begin soon near 32nd Ave and near 3605–3615 Waterway Blvd.
- Following utility relocation, drainage installation will begin in the same areas. This phase will require minor temporary road closures on Waterway Blvd.
In the meantime, paving crews will skip over these areas and continue pathway construction near Duck Lane.
