April 9, 2026 – Sewee Construction has been contracted by Cottrell to remove some concentrated pockets of clay and mud that were placed on the beach along the southern end of the Island. They are heavily dependent of the tide as the work needs to be completed during low tide stages and anticipate a start date of Monday, April 13 lasting about 6 days.

April 7, 2026 – New drainage has been installed at 22nd Avenue, and a swale has been graded in front of 2200 & 2202 Waterway Blvd to improve water flow through the new drainage system.
