September 4, 2026 – The City has issued a request for bids to install dune fencing and vegetation throughout the renourished areas. The project will include planting approximately 500,000 square feet with sea oats, bitter panic grass and beach morning glory, along with installing approximately 10,000 linear feet of sand fencing. Together, the vegetation and fencing will help capture windblown sand and stabilize the newly restored dunes.
