July 27, 2026 – Crews installed the floating pipeline on Monday morning (July 27), after which dredging operations began later that day.
The dredge Wadmalaw was positioned in Shipyard Creek on Saturday evening (July 25) as crews continued final preparations for the Isle of Palms beach renourishment project. Offshore, crews successfully installed an additional 2,000 feet of submerged pipeline. On Sunday evening (July 26), the dredge was towed to the offshore borrow area and anchored in position.
